  Had 9:10 appt with Dr. Higgs in Stockbridge. First time seeing him. Been coming to this practice for over 20 years. They took me back at the correct time. I was out of the office by 10am. Very attentive to my problem. Very thorough exam. Very personable.

  I'm finally speaking out about this. My mother has been seeing Dr Osborne for some years now, and he has helped her deal with her depression tremendously. WhenI was 18, I realized that my depression was getting out of control, and I needed to see someone and be put on an antidepressant. My mother recommended I see Dr Osborne. I went to my first appointment, and told the dr what was going on, that I was struggling, but I was trying to get turned around before it got worse. The doctor had me sit in the exam room for about 2 hours, and kept trying to convince me that he wanted me to go to another office for "a different type of exam." I kept stressing to him that I was stretching my pocket just to see him- I couldn't afford to see a specialist that day, especially if I didn't even know if they'd take my insurance. The doctor finally convinced me to let him drive me to this secondary office (I know, already a bad choice). He wouldn't tell me where he was taking me, or exactly what kind of tests they were going to do. I told him that I needed to be at work by a certain time, and he assured me, "it will be in and out, you'll be at work on time." He drove me to a behavioral hospital called Anchor, about 25 miles from his office in Stockbridge. As they had me fill out some paperwork(I did not sign anything, I only put down my basic info and insurance info), he spoke to some people, then LEFT. Dr Osborne abandoned me in an unknown location, without my car, in a medical facility I knew nothing about. When the nurse at this new facility called me back, I was given an exam (I later found out it was called a "critical exam"). When she asked for my phone, wallet, and personal affects, I was surprised, and demanded answers before I did anything. I found out that Dr Osborne had 10-13ed me (placed me on 72 hrs psychiatric hold mandated by the state), and since I had already entered the doors of the facility, they would not let me out. This doctor lied to me, took me to an unknown location, placed me in an inpatient program, and no one would have known. I could have lost my job for not showing up without notice (fortunately, my boss is very reasonable, and I managed to contact him), my parents and boyfriend wouldn't have had any idea where I was, save for my car still sitting in the parking lot of Southeastern Primary Care Specialists. This took place on a Thursday morning, in which I was stuck in this behavioral center until Monday evening. I worked weekends, so I missed an entire week of pay on an already stretched budget. I was then billed $3000 for this stint. Suddenly the $25 copay for a meeting with new doctor and work on getting my mental health treated turned into a $3000 hospital stay, potentially losing my only source of income, and what felt like kidnapping. My mother and I discussed seeking legal action, but decided to just move on from the ordeal. Almost a year later, I have yet to see another doctor for my depression, and I highly DO NOT recommend Dr Osborne

  The staff at the Stockbridge location attitudes are the worst, unprofessional and disrespectful. There are plenty of people needing jobs that will serve with a pleasant attitude and with a smile. I gave the pleasure of meeting them in my line of business.....maybe it's time to change the staff!
