  My family member was transferred here June 6 2:00 pm,the first hour the lights went out. Total commotion and clearly no training on what to do in a case of this happening. With that said the nurses were trying to find FULL oxygen tanks to connect (priority) patients to. Now this is in there words I could hear the conversations going on through the halls. The phone lines were down so they were on cell phones trying to get paramedics to bring oxygen tanks and transfer patients to Piedmont Henry Medical. The generator never kicked in. My family member vent worked off a 6 hour battery. Heard them state they loss patients during this chaos. Just if I had left for a second would I had come back to my love one passing. Clearly whomever is over this facility need to do some retraining of the staff because this was ridiculous. I did request to go to the hospital leaving out the nurse states when the power comes back on you all can come back. By now I am totally turned off in how they handle things and the terrible attitudes. Paramedics stated I made the right choice to come to the hospital and even said they don't know what is going on at that location! Get to hospital my loved ones doctor was inquiring about what was going on and could see my fustration. He makes a call to Vita's and come back in the room to tell me he had to do a complaint because the lady was so rude and could clearly understand why I was so fustrated! You guys gotta do better for the patients and family member's.
